How to Achieve Better Adsense CTR

There are a lot of ways on how to monetize your website. Adding Google Adsense to your site is one of the things that you can do. Earning with Adsense is very simple, you just need to copy and paste a simple code within the pages of your websites.

You have to understand that placing Google Adsense to your website would not magically bring in the money. You need to increase your site’s traffic so that more visitors can click the Google ads in your site. You also need to improve your Adsense CTR or click through rate. Here are some tips to get you started:

Choosing an ad format
Google provides a number of ad formats that webmasters can choose from. You have the options to pick the format that would best fit your website.

A lot of web surfers would instantly recognize Google ads and would not pay attention to it, nonetheless click on it. The key here is to disguise your ads as part of your website. Do away with banners that are easily recognized as Google ads like large horizontal banners. Instead, you can try using rectangular ads and imbed them in your text. It is not exactly advisable to use the default colors of Google ads, unless of course, you website has the same color scheme. It’s a good idea to blend the colors of your Google ads to your website color scheme to add uniformity to your website. You might also want to put your Google ads on a white background as it proved to have a higher click through than colored ones.

You can also revamp your site every so often and change the format and layouts of your Google ads. This way your visitors would not get too familiar with the placement of the ads. You can check the performance and the CTR of a certain page by using the channels in your Google Adsense control panel. This way you can evaluate which ad formats and ad layouts perform better. With enough strategy, you are on your way to profits with Google Adsense!
